An account of things publicly known about expeditions into the undercity, in reverse chronological order.

14th Mar: (Changing to weekly and without mentioning names unless needed, since there are multiple games occurring now and many of them end up being quite HUSH HUSH in their activities). The Skull of St Berthane is now confirmed as being both found in, and extracted from, the sub-basement/Undercity below the Blancmange & Thistle hotel. Ghoul Dada, patron of the skull acquisition, has gone to ground and is nowhere to be found, although his known associates suggest he's fine. His patronage has, however, been withdrawn and you must now pay your way. Gremlins have started to flood the basement of the hotel, through the inadequate undercity hatch. The mandrills are dealing with them in the hotel, but management have offered a 10p bounty on gremlin heads until the infestation is under control.

26th Feb: The party return a little worse for wear but with a renewed optimism. Grunts & Glub came back with, and claimed the reward for, Scream Sorless's missing sword (Mr. Sorless, please see the lost property office). Illuminata Pepper has been spending a lot of time befriending the mandrill staff. Len continues to monitor the residents of the basement impassively.

Present and alive:

21st Feb:

The hotel have decided profit is to be made selling "economy" stays in the wrecked basement. Ghoul Dada is unhappy with this arrangement (thinking his exclusive contract should include the basement) but adjusts accordingly.

Cristiolus-Leonardo "Len" Aventine, a burly older gentleman, is now staying in the basement to remind those benefiting from Ghoul's largesse of their agreement to remain discreet. Illuminata Pepper, the unemployed pin-maker, and her swan, Wander, have arrived as the first guests not employed by Ghoul to stay in the basement. She seems nice. The skull is yet to be found.

Scream Sorless has put up reward posters offering 500p to whoever returns his missing sword, last seen south east of the undercity entrance.

Present and alive:

12th Feb:

Ghoul Dada continues to hire all and sundry in his bid to collect the saint's skull before the hotel realise they're being cut out. He makes it clear that the reward is very much a "first come, first served" situation. The party return to the hotel in no rush and with a magnificent tiger corpse in tow.

Present and unharmed:

7th Feb:

The group is sponsored by Ghoul Dada, who has secured the exclusive rights to "clean up" the Blancmange & Thistle's new sub basement. Once sworn to confidence, he informs them that he has good reason to believe there is a 1st class relic, the skull of St Berthane, right under the hotel. He agrees to pay 10,000p for the skull, and to pay for their stay in the (basement) of the hotel for the duration of their attempt.

Present and unharmed:
