I just finished jury duty and it has filled me with an unprecedented faith in humanity. I know USians aren’t used to taxes, but trust me, this is how everywhere else is. Many who buy our books are shocked when the postage is more than the cost of a coffee. It’s not a shame to not know things. During the pandemic there was a flowering of RPG publishers and retailers, but as soon as that bounty ended they largely crumbled. Amongst the few still standing there is a common thread of bloody mindedness and having a great capacity for suffering. Ignore the moaning! Myself included. Don’t listen to their words, know them by their deeds. You don’t have to like it, just lump it. When you think back to the pandemic it’s like it didn’t happen, or was so long ago as to be mythical. What is fresh and new is the work. How much or how little doesn’t matter, only that it happened and is orders of magnitude more vital and important than anything else. We do the work.

It’ll be ok.
