Welcome Guests

You're joining my open table megadungeon campaign? Super! I'm going to present information in order of importance.

  1. You are completely clueless "tourists", stuck in the infinite city of Troika at the centre of the universe. It is like every huge city you have ever seen. Literally. All of them.
  2. A patron has offered (and you have accepted) free room and board at the hotel Blancmange & Thistle in exchange for going into the Undercity occasionally for some job or other. A brand new entrance was accidentally dug into the same basement you're staying in. Handy!
  3. You have no reason to know details of these things. Seriously, you've just got here and it's a bit overwhelming but people seem nice.
  4. You are staying at the Blancmange & Thistle, a very nice hotel, which is renting out their wrecked (long story) basement to vagrants at knock-down prices. Their theme is "chrome, gold plating, mirrors, and mandrills".
  5. We'll be using TROIKA! rules, which are simple enough that the GM can carry you through it without you knowing anything.
  6. The dungeon is persistent and changes over time. What happens in the dungeon stays in the dungeon, so to speak.
  7. Whoever is present at game nights is who goes into the dungeon.
  8. The dungeon is not "balanced". You have to judge how dangerous anything is and react accordingly.
  9. You must leave the dungeon, return to the hotel, by the agreed end time of the session or else your character risks becoming lost or dying between sessions.
  10. The dungeon is full of secrets. Different player characters will know different thing about the dungeon. They might tell you if you ask.
